But as of the summer update from July 3 (update 1.3.0), that's no longer the case, which should mean you aren't left waiting three weeks between Redd visits! Previously, Saharah, Leif, and Kicks were all guaranteed to show up each week, with the rest of the visitors vying for the remaining two weekdays. But according to datamining by Ninji, you should get a pretty even spread of these nine visitors from one week to the next, as the game prioritizes visitors you missed the week prior. Because there are nine weekday visitors currently and only five weekdays, you won't get each NPC every single week. These visitors can show up on any weekday.

A previous update added Leif, the gardening sloth, and Jolly Redd, who sells art of questionable origins. The first wave of the summer update added Gullivarrr, a pirate version of Gulliver, and Pascal, who's actually not quite a special visitor in the traditional sense. Many of these visitors are random, while others show up at specific times of the week or day, and they either offer rare rewards, sell special items, or buy things off you for a great price.
